Pokemon Bank delayed (Nintendo delays launch of Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter games)
The much anticipated Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter 3DS apps are now said to be delayed due to a ‘large volume of traffic’ as per its creators, the Nintendo Network Service. It was announced on the support page of the Nintendo as well. The launch of both the apps was supposed to be launched on 27th December but now it has been delayed, officially.
In its official statement, Nintendo has said that the reason for the delay is high traffic and because of that the players are having trouble setting up their Nintendo Network IDs and then to download the content in the Nintendo eShop for both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. It is also accepting the fact that the number of users who are trying to create a Nintendo Network ID on their Nintendo 3DS and want to access the Nintendo eShpe have been far more greater than Nintendo had expected. The statement also regrets the inconvenience caused due to this last minute delay to the fans and the users. It has also tried to reassure its fans and users to provide the solution to the situation as soon as possible and they are working on it on a priority bases. They have also apologized for the same and have expected the support of the fans and users to go along with them.
Previously Nintendo has announced that everyone who wishes to download Pokemon Bank, between 27th December 2013 and 31st January 2014 will get free 30-day trial of the services for free and after the deadline gets over the Pokemon Bank will charge all the fans who wish to download the same will be charged USD 4.99 | GBP 4.49 and Euro 4.99 a year.
One more thing is to be noted here that Nintendo had already pulled the applications from its eShop in Japan as well facing the similar issues. The one more striking thing about is that Nintendo has not yet announced the fresh date of release for the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y- related apps.
For the information, Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter apps allow players to store extra Pokemon from their previous games and can transfer them to the Pokemon X and the Pokemon Y respectively.
Fans and users are visibly upset because of the delayed release of these two apps. They are showing their disappointment over the internet as well. Most of the users are of the opinion that it is not good because they were waiting for this launch for months. Few fans are also blaming the substandard server of Nintendo which is not able to handle such a huge traffic. They are also comparing with other gaming portals where despite of rush their gaming products are easy to download.
It is yet to be cleared whether this delay will have any effect on the free sign-up period or not.
